I have worked diligently to make the 431st District Court efficient and effective in processing cases. We’ve significantly reduced case inventory and backlog during my first term and the local administrative judge has designated the 431st as Denton County’s specialty court for Civil Trial Law. This includes constitutional challenges to statutes, election disputes, contract breaches, real estate, personal injury, defamation, taxes and business injunctions among other categories.
I am Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, so this Court is the perfect fit for me. In addition, I serve as a magistrate to promptly review criminal search warrants and arrest warrants presented by law enforcement agencies across the county.
I also am an actively-involved conservative Republican. For the past six years, I’ve served as an officer in the Denton County Republican Party. I began as First Vice Chair from 2017-2021 and then served as Parliamentarian from 2022-2023. In 2018, I received the prestigious “Chairman’s Award” for outstanding volunteer service. In 2021, I was honored to be selected as the Denton GOP’s “Volunteer of the Year” at the annual Lincoln Reagan Gala. As active Republicans, my wife and I have attended Texas Republican Party state conventions for the past ten years.
